I was in a motorcycle wreck and was thrown 147 feet from the motorcycle with no helmet on. I was in a coma for 3 months, then for 2 months I was awake but non responsive. I am now 32 years old with 3 children and living with my parents. I live in Colorado and my parents moved up here from Texas and bought a place for us to live because the State wanted to put me in a nursing home. I now have my children every other week and am going to College, and am the top of my class. The Doctors told my parents I would be a vegetable if I lived. I was injured on April 4, 2003, I was in a wheelchair and unable to walk. I have had 16 surgeries in my life and 12 were after my motorcycle accident. I have a story to tell, I am considered brain injured but I am no different than I was before I was hurt. I guess that meant I was brain injured before. I am so thankful for my parents and they got to raise me twice. All I can say is keep your chin up and keep fighting!!

Sincerely,

Mike Hall
